6.09km along the coast and about 19km by bus
As Covid19 seems to be subsiding, although clearly has not yet gone away, we thought that it would be ok to start to use the busses. The next stretch of the path is very linear making it very difficult to find interesting circular inland and coastal routes.
So after an early start from the New Forest we parked Frodo at a little, but quite expensive, car park at Potwrinkle baech. According to the Go Cornwall app, we took the bus to “Cadet Hut” on the edge of Torpoint and the after waiting half an hour, got the bus back to Whitesand bay.
We got off the bus just a little before where we had walked back to Maker campsite last month, which left a small gap in the path, but mainly along the road.
The first section was a mixture of road and paths very close to the road, then through Tregantle Fort, fortunately no red flags so we could walk through the firing range and then along fairly easy grassy paths towards Portwrinkle.
As we approached Portwrinkle we walked through the Whitesad Golf Course – they seem to always get good locations, but this was speculator – we saw someone drive between cliffs to reach the fairway.
Not far further we re-joined Frodo and drove to our next campsite on the edge of Looe.
