2025-09-21 Trewethett FarmCampsite to Boscastle

Part of section 16 in the SWCPA handbook

3.7 km along the coast and 4.6 km Inland.

Again the weather was not great – after looking out of the  van and seeing sunshine, after breakfast we were watching rain and wind. So another slow start and walked from the campsite straight onto the coastal path. Although there was one steep down and up about midway.

Although close to high cliffs there was a good path and not too muddy despite the last  day’s rain. So we saw the watchtower, and had a chat with a couple from Amsterdam and then descended to Boscastle harbour.

After the fairly quite  path, the harbour seemed crowded, but we enjoyed the National Trust Shop, the Castle Gold beer in the Wellington and our meat loaf roll looking over the stream.

Having walked up the village we walked up the steep Old Road, then to the Parish church and along a few footpaths, mainly well signposted to Trevela Church, a place of worship since Norman times” and then back to the campsite.
