September 2020 Home to Poole Harbour

We started or walk directly from home in Lymington and waked on five separate days, down the Lymington River, around Keyhaven Marshes and then along the coast as far as the Sandbanks Ferry.

The first part of the coastline is rural, with the sea-side villages of Milford-on-Sea and Barton-on-Sea and after that it passes through the urban centres of Bournemouth and Poole.

We walked 30 miles (48km) along the coast but a total of 59 (95km) miles to return to our starting points.

Thursday 17th September 2020 Home to Keyhaven -11.1km along the coast and a total of 18.2km

Sunday 20th September 2020 Keyhaven to Barton – Beachcomber café 9.4km along the coast and 9.8 inland

Saturday 26th September Barton to Mudeford Ferry 9.5km along the coast and 8.4 Inland

Monday 28th September 2020 Hengisbury Ferry to Bournemouth Pier 11.4km along the coast and 10.7 inland

Thursday 1st October 2020 Bournemouth Pier to Sandbanks Ferry10.4km along the cliffs and 6.7 along the promenade
