4.4 km along the coast and 3.46 km inland
After an early start from home, we parked at the main car park at Par beach and the walked along the “Saints Way” back toward Polkerris. Having noticed a couple of Police cars we descended a fairly steep section of the coastal path and met a couple of Coastguards coming up. They asked if we had seen “Frank” a missing person and asked that we should let them know if we met him.
Then down to the beach at Polkerris, lovely traditional Cornwall harbour and beach, so we had a sandwich sitting on a rock.
Then a quite steep ascent and slow decent to Par Sands and as it was low tide there was a huge extent of sand, popular with dogs and their owners. We walked across the sands and inland to the main road before taking the short-cut to the van through the huge holiday park.
