2. Hastings
We visited Hastings Pier on 25th February 2018, unfortunately the Community project to rebuild the pier had just gone into receivership, and the next day the “Beast from the East” came and changed the view. The pier has since been sold and hopefully its future secured, though on a more commercial basis.
Since then the pier has been brought by a commercial owner and has been redeveloped and re-opened following the Covid pandemic. More details are on the NPS website.
