At the East end of Southsea is South Parade Pier, a contrast to Clarence Pier in the West. This is a much more traditional pier that has recently been refurbished and so won “Pier of the year” in 2018.
The National Piers Society were due to hold their AGM there in 2019, but due to Covid restrictions this was postponed to 2022.
